From a five-cheese toasted sandwich off the menu, to a modern US fine dining restaurant that transforms into a secret Ramen house after hours – complete with burlap sacks blacking out the windows, and a brother-and-sister Pakistani restaurant that doesn’t even have a sign outside – Adam Richman will find it and share his mouth orgasms for it – and these examples are JUST in Milwaukee!
Each episode of this fantastic show visits a different U.S. city, and it’s not all gourmet – after all, a five cheese toasted sandwich isn’t exactly fine dining, and Richman is OBSESSED by sandwiches. What it is, though, is drool-worthy, and filmed and described with passion and love.
If the food in this show doesn’t excite and inspire you… well, you’re either dead or dead boring.
I mean, how can you not want to try a Los Angeles burrito that is as much Korean and Peruvian as it is Mexican, or visit a restaurant that you have to access through a secret doorway?
The only thing stopping me watching this DVD from the start again, is that I want to go and try cooking a few of these awesome-looking dishes for myself!
