Recorded on home ground in Quebec, Canada, this double live album shows the power of Angel Forrest’s wonderful vocals as well the seriously cool chops of her killer band, celebrating her thirty year career.

Originals stand tall next to some exalted covers, including House Of The Rising Sun, Piece Of My Heart and Bobby McGee. Yes, the Janis Joplin connection is intentional – Forrest has a voice every bit as remarkable as the late Joplin, and her vocals fit the songs like a tailored suit.

Whilst Forrest’s vocal abilities are the star here, the work of the band, featuring partner Denis Coulombe, Ricky Paquette, Sly Coulombe and Alec McElcheran is some seriously talented stuff, and there’s no doubt how these guys have had such a lauded career to date.

Having celebrated her impressive career so thoroughly here, whatever Forrest chooses to do next will be eagerly anticipated by all lovers of great blues and rock music.
