NEWS: STYX AND FOREIGNER, WITH VERY SPECIAL GUEST DON FELDER KICK OFF TOUR

May 22, 2014 – The fans have spoken, and the “The Soundtrack of Summer” (#thesoundtrackofsummer) featuring STYX and FOREIGNER, with very special guest DON FELDER (former Eagles guitarist/songwriter) is due to be one of the hottest tours of the summer. This three-month U.S. trek  kicked off with a sold-out show on May 14 in Wichita, KS at the Intrust Bank Arena, with a number of sold-out shows on the horizon.  With more than 250 million albums sold worldwide, these rock and roll legends continue to resonate with fans spanning generations.  Fans can check out the tour’s official website, www.soundtrackofsummer.com, for tickets and info about all three acts.

THE SOUNDTRACK OF SUMMER, the tour’s companion album was released exclusively at Walmart on May 6, and has already exceeded all expectations by making it onto the Billboard “Top 200 Albums” chart in its debut week.  The album, which features 16 classics by FOREIGNER and STYX, also features very special guest DON FELDER, former guitarist of The Eagles.  The track list includes FOREIGNER hits “Cold As Ice,” “Juke Box Hero” and “I Want To Know What Love Is,” and STYX hits “The Grand Illusion,” “Blue Collar Man” and “Renegade” (see below for a complete track listing).  The collection finishes with the spectacular highlight, a brand new interpretation of one of Classic Rock’s most successful songs ever, “Hotel California.”  Original songwriter DON FELDER teamed up with STYX and FOREIGNER for this very special collaboration, as well as a stunning new version of FOREIGNER’s massive hit, “I Want To Know What Love Is,” which is only available as a limited edition vinyl disc and on iTunes.
