DAVID GUETTA SCORES FIRST U.S. GOLD ALBUM WITH ‘NOTHING BUT THE BEAT’ SURPASSING SALES OF 500,000!
(Los Angeles, CA – May 28th, 2013) – Superstar DJ David Guetta continues to reach new milestones in his career with his first Gold-certified album in the U.S. as his album ‘Nothing But The Beat’ surpasses sales of 500,000 this week. The album was released in August, 2011 with re-package ‘Nothing But The Beat 2.0’ in September 2012 and in addition to selling 500,000 albums they have collectively sold over 12 million singles in the U.S equaling a total of 1.7 million TEA (tracks equal album) sales. ‘Nothing But The Beat’ joins an elite group as there are only 7 other electronic albums to reach gold status in the 20-year history of the chart.

All 3 tracks also reached the top 5 on the top 40 airplay charts, “Without You” making it all the way to No. 1. ‘Nothing But The Beat’ and ‘Nothing But The Beat 2.0’ have collectively spawned nine top 10 singles on the Billboard Dance Club/Play Songs Chart: “Where Them Girls At” featuring Flo-Rida and Nicki Minaj (No. 10), “Little Bad Girl” featuring Taio Cruz and Ludacris (No. 2), “Without You” featuring Usher (No. 3), “Turn Me On” featuring Nicki Minaj (No. 1), “Titanium” featuring Sia (No. 3), “I Can Only Imagine” featuring Chris Brown & Lil Wayne (No. 10), “Wild One Two” with Nicky Romero featuring Sia (No. 1), “She Wolf (Falling To Pieces)” featuring Sia (No. 1) and “Play Hard” featuring Akon and Ne-Yo currently at No. 2.
Last week Guetta won the first-ever Billboard Music Award for Top EDM artist at 2013 BBMA’s in Las Vegas. He also Play Hard” with Akon and Ne-Yo for the first time on the awards telecast. “Play Hard” is the 5th and final radio single from ‘Nothing But The Beat’ and will officially impact Top 40 radio on June 17th.
