Humour/Parody

7/10

Personally, I never found parenthood a particularly binding reason for becoming a wuss, but apparently most people tone down their life enjoyment as they get older, and shrug off whatever wild side they used to visit in their social life.

This fun little parody of Maurice Sendak’s Where The Wild Things Are has Dad out with the boys on a trashy, pint-fuelled night of air guitaring and other shenanigans, because “every dad still has a wild side.”

Well, yeah – no-one should stop fun because they have a child: that would be misguided and ridiculous.

BUT, to take the book in the spirit it is intended, it’s a cute little bit of fun, and will probably help all the Dads who HAVE long ago given away their party trousers to remember their glory days and maybe even inspire them to throw down a tinnie or two.
