LIVE: THE RED CLAY STRAYS – St. Augustine, FL, USA – August 20, 2025
Venue: St. Augustine Amphitheatre
City: St. Augustine, FL
Date: August 20, 2025
Review and Photographs by: Jason Beutel
The sold-out St. Augustine Amphitheatre was sweltering in the August heat, but the show was even hotter. Kicking off the night was Wilder Woods. With his blend of classic rock and R&B, he fired up the crowd. When the Red Clay Strays hit the stage, the swell of energy in the air broke like a wave. Frontman Brandon Coleman is a force of nature. From a photographer’s standpoint, he’s a dream to shoot, full of dynamic emotion and magnetism that fills every corner of the stage. With his commanding stage presence, he delivers songs with the swagger of Elvis and the spiritual weight of Johnny Cash. The band made sure to play their fan favorites and had the crowd singing along with every word. Then, tracks like “Drowning” brought a raw emotional intensity to the stage. It’s that kind of emotional honesty, mixed with hard-hitting rock, that makes The Red Clay Strays a band you have to experience live.
