Yomi Ship launch debut album Feast Eternal with pre-international tour show 28 June

Perth-based instrumental post-rock outfit Yomi Ship prepares to embark on a journey unlike any other with their debut album, “Feast Eternal,” out 15 June 2024 on all major streaming platforms.

“Feast Eternal” is a meticulously crafted concept album that weaves a sonic tapestry through the mythical underworld of Yomi, the Japanese realm of the dead. Influenced by both psychedelic and math rock, the album takes listeners on a dynamic exploration, transitioning from ethereal, ambient passages to powerful prog-rock sections brimming with unexpected time signatures and intricate rhythmic interplay.

The striking cover art depicts the hearth of Yomi – a feast that serves as a one-way portal to the afterlife. The artwork features a captivating tableau of mythical figures, representing characters from the album’s narrative, drawn in by the hearth’s allure and forever bound to the underworld after partaking in its eternal feast.

This release marks a significant milestone for Yomi Ship, following a national tour supporting Australian prog-rock legends Cog and a forthcoming European tour with fellow progressive instrumentalists ‘Plini’ and ‘Night Verses’ as well as an appearance at the UK’s prestigious ArcTanGent Festival in August. “Feast Eternal” is a testament to the band’s ability to push boundaries and craft a listening experience that is both transportive and deeply affecting.

Before heading off overseas, Yomi Ship will be celebrating the release of ‘Feast Eternal’ at the Rosemount Hotel on Friday, 28 June 2024 with special guests Gloam, Didion’s Bible and Moya Moya, presented by Cut Above Collective.
