Midtown opened up for My Chemical Romance on their current tour after not playing music together for over 15 years. During their set in Miami, Gabe Saporta the frontman told the crowd all about how and why they got back together to be able to play these few dates. He explained how Mikey Way (the bassist of My Chemical Romance and long time friend of Gabe’s) asked him if the band would get back together for the upcoming and very anticipated MCR tour. Midtown even dedicated their cover of “When You Were Young” to Mikey that night and the MCR bassist came out and performed with Midtown for the last song “Give It Up”.
