The Canadian alt-rock band, City and Colour, are on tour for their new album a pill for loneliness. They are on tour in Canada for 2019 and in the new year in Europe, Asia, and Australia. Lead singer Dallas Green is also known as a singer, rhythm guitarist, and songwriter for the Canadian post-hardcore band Alexisonfire. I was excited to get to see they were coming to Winnipeg and even photographing the show was great. The Bell MTS Place, is one of the smaller but quite big venues in Canada but that didn’t stop the crowd for having an enjoyable evening. Everyone was singing in the building to every song you can think of. I think the most noticeable song was “The Girl” thinking it was 2008 all over again. The sound and lighting was beautiful for the whole evening. The band sounded like they never changed over the years for doing it for over ten years. They played some songs off their brand new record as well some oldies that the fans knew quite well but finished the night with a fan favourite of “Sleeping Sickness”. It was a real party in the Bell MTS Place Saturday evening.
