The ability to review and photograph a legend is always fun, regardless of the genre.  When that genre is Burlesque and that legend in none other than Dita Von Teese, you cannot help but get excited considering the opportunity in front of you. With tonight being as close to a hometown show for Dita, we were all in for a hell of a ride.  I arrived at the venue at the allotted time and waited for the festivities to begin.  Ms. Von Teese is out on her Copper Coupe Tour and is giving her fans and audiences a lot to take in.  She herself performs sets within the parameters of two acts.  She opens the show and every preconceived notion goes out the window as Dita wows the crowd and sets the bar for the rest of the evening.  Before her next wet, we are treated to performances from Gia Genevieve, Ginger Valentine, and Zelia Rose before taking the stage once again for another classy performance that takes you back to an era when beauty was revered and appreciated, as well as a teasing build up to the final reveal in the first act.  After a short intermission, we were all taken on a journey into the world of fetish and sexual imagination that saw the entire ensemble participating with Von Teese before she closed the performance riding a mechanical lipstick tube that fed the moment as much as anything else this evening.  After this rousing set, we were treated to performances from Dirty Martini and Jett Adore, as well as entertainment from the evenings MC.  Closing out the show with a water scene and inside of a champagne glass, the evening seemed to get bigger, brighter, and more alluring as the show progressed.  Showing off one of her more dazzling outfits and performances, the woman behind the tour demonstrated for one and all to see why she is a legend – she has the looks, the moves, the outfits, and the attitude to pull off the ultimate tease night after night and keep them coming back for more, as the packed venue in Detroit can attest to.  When this tour heads your way, do not miss out on this show – if you do, know you are missing one of the better performances I have seen in a long time – with talented beautiful performers and classic music as a background, this show will not only titillate you, but satisfy your senses on every level.  Check the tour dates and grab your tickets HERE.
