HAILMARY announce new EP, Australian tour & Pozible campaign

Hailmary 2014 Navigate The Sunrise tour

Perth-Based-but-Melbourne-Regulars Hailmary release their brand new EP ‘Navigate the Sunrise’ on May 16, with a National Tour and a Pozible campaign to help them get all the way around the country!

The band have been bunkered down in the studio for the early months of 2014 and it has resulted in a stellar 5-track EP that smashes into high gear from Track 1, Liar in My Chair, with only one stop for breath with slower-paced track Waiting for My Time in the middle of the record. Other than that, it’s breakneck speed.

The Navigate the Sunrise EP was recorded at Vasectomy Studio in Perth, engineered by Hailmary drummer Vassya Shevstov with co‐production by Shevstov, Hailmary singer/songwriter Kevin Curran and Producer Jeff Tomei (Jerry Cantrell, Smashing Pumpkins, Skid Row) out of his Cock of The Walk Studio in Atlanta, USA and mastering by Glenn Schick at GSM in Seattle, USA.

The EP features Hailmary Members; Kevin Curran (Vocals / Guitar), Vas Shevstov (Drums / Percussion / Vocals), Todd Fishwick (Guitar / Vocals), and Ben Elphick (Guitar / Vocals) along with the uber talented and world class Jon Stockman who stepped in to record the bass guitar tracks following the departure of Hailmary bassist Nairn McKay in 2013.

That’s not all. To Celebrate, Hailmary are heading out on the road immediately to take the new tracks to their fans. Spread out over May and June, they are taking their show all over the country – WA, SA, NSW, QLD, VIC and TAS are all covered and are hitting some festivals as well as their favourite venues while they are at it. Melbourne’s Mick Quee from legendary Australian rockers Dead City Ruins will take up bass duties for the Tour.

To help them get all the way around the country, the band are also launching their Pozible campaign! They will be heading around the country throughout May and June, but in order for the band to zigzag around the country from Perth and back to the East coast a number of times throughout the course of the tour, they need a little help from the people who love them – their fans. A stack of fantastic rewards are on offer for pledging some funds their way and it will make sure that Hailmary get all the way through the tour and back again with some food in their belly and a pillow under their heads at night. The Campaign is live at http://www.pozible.com/project/180235.

Hailmary are renowned as one the hardest working independent bands currently on the Australian airwaves and touring circuit – their strong live performance has solidified them as one of Australia’s best emerging heavy/hard rock bands with an ever‐increasing army of loyal fans, as well as earning WAMi’s for their two previous EPs and solid airplay around the country, including Andrew Haug Radio, The Aussie Alternative and Triple MMM’s Distortion with Higgo.

The Navigate the Sunrise EP is out Friday May 16 through Black Wolf Records via Third Verse Management in iTunes, JB Hi-Fi, Hailmary’s online stores and at their shows. Their Pozible Campaign will be live from April 23 and their tour kicks off kicks off on Thursday May 29 in Adelaide and finishes up in Bunbury in their home State of WA on Saturday June 29 and includes spots on the Wallapalooza Festival on the Gold Coast (June 8) and at the Rock N Load Festival in Melbourne (June 21).
