Ghowl hail from Sweden, and deliver a creepy set of gothic horror metal that will haunt your dreams.

A studio duo of Frederick Olsson and Kim Mattsson – Olsson on guitars, Mattsson plays everything else and co-writes the lyrics with co-producer Ronny Carlsson – musically, Ghowl sound a little like Rob Zombie and Marilyn Manson, without the industrial overtones and atmospheric samples, and with a Black Label Society-styled heaviness.

Mattsson creates plenty of atmospherics with his vocals, through a set of songs which explore nightmares, creatures that lurk in the woods, being eaten alive, and other such charming subjects.

A concept album of sorts, In The Woods is all wrapped up in a suitably noir package, and is malevolent and creepy as fuck.
