The 1975 hail from England and have 2 studio albums. The current tour is in support of their latest, I Like It When You Sleep, for You Are So Beautiful Yet So Unaware of It, which was released earlier this year. The North American tour concludes December 4 after which they return to Europe. Knoxville eagerly anticipated their stop. The line started outside the arena hours before the doors opened. Security had to contain the crowd as they pushed forward to get the best spots on the floor. After a nice opening set by alternative artist COIN, the crew got the stage ready. The fans screamed in anticipation as the lights dimmed. Matt Healy and company got things started with “The 1975” and followed that up with their smash hit “Love Me.” Adoring fans threw flowers on stage. The show was supported with a great light show and backdrop. The long setlist included many songs from each of their studio albums. After a well-deserved break, The 1975 came back for 4 more songs. They concluded the evening with “The Sound.” The crowd left satisfied with many saying how great their live performance and light show was.
