Austin’s metal rock band The Sword brought their act to Knoxville for a Friday night show. The venue changed to the Concourse, which is a smaller and more intimate setting. The small bar was packed for the show and everyone was ready to let loose for the weekend. They didn’t disappoint their avid fans. The Sword was all business with thrashing guitars and heavy percussion. Lead singer John Cronise is not your typical guttural metal vocalist, rather more like rockers of the 70’s era. Their 5th studio album High Country is certainly in his wheelhouse with more of relaxed feel. The contrast provides a great sound that can appeal to any rock fan. The crowd was loud and showed their support all night. The Sword rewarded us with a great show, a perfect way to spend a Friday night!

ToddStar - that's me... just a rocking accountant who had dreams of being a rock star. I get to do the next best thing to rocking the globe - I get to take pictures of the lucky ones that do. I love to shoot all genres of music and different types of performers. If it is related to music, I love to photograph it. I get to shoot and hang with not only some of my friends and idols, but some of the coolest people around today.
