DIVA DEMOLITION RELEASES NEW VIDEO TO SUPPORT HOMECOMING TOUR
Having realised their dream of completing a five-month European tour and recording their second album in Vâsteras, Sweden, Australian rock chicks Kylie Cowling and Sherree Newton – DIVA DEMOLITION – are currently touring Australia with their HOME DIRT TOUR 2015.
“Our Home Dirt Tour is a celebration of us having made it home from Europe alive!” jokes singer/bass player, Kylie. “In Europe, we were aptly described as a classic style blues rock band, and we were received with open arms in places like Sweden, Belgium, Amsterdam and Serbia. These places, especially Sweden, are at the frontier of new rock music in Europe, and is it any wonder, considering the biggest and most consistent band in the world today is a rock band, still killing it after 40 years. AC/DC’s music is loved by all generations, and people constantly compared our live Aussie rock styling to AC/DC. We could have toured Europe for years on their coat tails, but thankfully it’s now time for us to come home.”
The Divas new ‘Rock the Zombie’ videoclip features footage from Brisbane’s Zombie Walk, and was released just in time for their Halloween gig in Queensland.
DIVA DEMOLITION’s experience and prowess has previously earned them a spot on many a large stage, playing with the world’s greatest rock acts. Their strength of their debut album ‘Like It Too Much’ (Spitfire Music) won them a national tour with Kiss, Mötley Crüe and Thin Lizzy, and Aerosmith in Melbourne and Dunedin. What stands out foremost in their live show is their easy-going, fun attitude, followed-up with strong riffs and a solid rock feel that makes their music easily digestible. Kylie and Sherree are also favourite choices of the Australian Defence Forces, having been invited on four separate occasions to entertain the troops in Timor Leste, Afghanistan, Dubai, Sinai and the Solomon Islands.
