Buffalo Killers - Dig Sow Love Grow cover

With its floral, hippyish cover & title you might expect Buffalo Killers to feature acoustic pastoral hippy folk songs, or be the latest indie hipster rage – hell, I did, and that’s why it’s taken so long for me to give the record a chance!

In actual fact their psych rock is more like Ozzy Osbourne fronting the harder end of Jethro Tull, which is pretty bizarre and a weird kind of sensible at the same time.

My Sun visits a West Coast summer of love vibe, and the swirling blues trance of Moon Daisy is pretty out there, but for the most part this album is psych blues with a spacy edge, performed well with a hint of fragile delicacy, but never really stands out with much urgency.
