EMPRA Live at The Rosemount Hotel, North Perth

The boys from Empra again fronted up to a half empty Rosemount Hotel on a cold stormy Perth night, that even the hardest fans found difficult to venture out in. However this didn’t dampen there enthusiasm to put on an energetic show. They ripped out the first tune to a subdued crowd, but it didn’t take them long to have the crowd that was there pumping. Veloo’s ability to interact with the crowd, and ramp up the mood made for a very electric rock show. Its times like these that a band show’s their true metal, and Empra didnt disappoint, those that were were treated to a fantastic set of hard rocking tunes.

The new EP Strange Condition which they are on a National tour promoting, has a softer rock sound than there previous albums, yet hearing them live they played it with the same hard rock sound they are known to produce. Their new releases, Strange Condition, Yours Sincerely and Only Love show the band is maturing in their lyrical content, musicality and production.

Hopefully soon people will get behind Empra as they have the quintessential Australian Pub Rock band sound, and its been a while since we have seen such talent on the Australian Rock Scene.
