Young, dumb and full of cum Israeli sleaze rockers Chase The Ace have delivered a debut album that is locked and loaded on the nearest party and ready to fire.

They’re a four piece who have a sound that touches on the Crue sleaze of The Sunset Strip, the bubbleglam sound of the 70’s, and even a bit of Eurometal, especially in the vocals and impressive riff-work.

The album is one helluva rollercoaster too – popping and fizzing electric at every twist and turn, the pace never really slowing except to let singer and rhythm guitarist Roi Vito Peleg to catch his breath.

Omer Schnider deserves special mention for his blistering guitar work, and the rhythm section of Yam Artzy (drums) and bassist Yair Gadon are equally impressive, adding up to a fine unit or rock n’ rollers with plenty of talent for catchy hooks and a gang vocal chorus.

Eclectic is the word – Raise Your Glass tips their kippahs towards AC/DC, while the Spinal Tapishly-ironically titled Morning Wood is a gorgeous acoustic guitar ballad, followed quickly by Tapped Out which sounds like cult favourites Salty Dog!

Just when you think it’s a non stop party in the Chase The Ace green room, they throw another curve ball down to the plate with Bring You Back, a wonderfully atmospheric ballad that would make Alice Cooper proud and proof if needed that these guys are far from one dimensional, let alone dumb.

It’s enough to make your head spin and takes a few listens to really digest and realise that bloody hell, these seemingly disparate fifteen songs really do make up a coherent whole album – and a damn fine one at that.
