Dispatch Releases New Live Album ‘Ain’t No Trip To Cleveland: Vol. 1’ — OUT NOW!
JUNE 5, 2013 – LOS ANGELES, CA – Dispatch announced yesterday the release of their new double live album,Ain’t No Trip To Cleveland: Vol. 1. The album features their favorite takes from touring throughout 2011 and 2012. Brad Corrigan of the band remarked about the recently released single “Get Ready Boy” LIVE (premiered on Rolling Stone) “nothing tops playing it live and getting the crowds clapping, stomping and in a banjo frenzy.” The album is available for free for a limited time-physically or digitally via the band’s webstore as ‘pay what you want’ or through Amazon and Noisetrade.
Dispatch kicked off their Circles Around The Summer Tour 2013 last week in Nashville, TN with special guest Allen Stone. Guster will join the band for their remaining shows in Boston, Chicago, and Berkeley. The band will also appear at several festivals this summer, see below for a complete list of dates.
Since the very beginning, Dispatch has been a band that has stood up and rallied its fans behind causes that challenge the status quo. In continuing the tradition of integrating a message with their music, the band have been participating in a variety of activities throughout their tour to support their Amplifying Educationcampaign, which mobilizes the Dispatch community to take small actions to address America’s education crisis and make a difference in the lives of children across the country. Eight lucky Dispatch fans had the opportunity to spend one week traveling and volunteering with Dispatch on the Fall 2012 Circles Around The Sun Tour as part of the Amplifying Education Alternative Break Tour. The filmmakers at Take Part documented their entire trip and created a web video series entitled Dispatch: Turning The Tide. To watch the webisodes, click HERE. In keeping with tradition, $1.00 from every ticket sold on the Circles Around The Summer Tour will be donated to the Amplifying Education initiative.

ABOUT DISPATCH: Dispatch is Chad Stokes, Brad Corrigan, and Pete Francis. After forming in New England in 1996 and through intense word of mouth and fan loyalty, Dispatch went on to become one of the biggest draws on the live music scene, and arguably one of the biggest independent rock bands in History. The band released their debut album in 1996, an acoustic-driven folk-pop affair called Silent Steeples, on their own Bomber Records followed by 1998’s reggae-flavored Bang Bang. In 1999 the band released their third album Four Day Trials. After a brief hiatus during which various members pursued solo endeavors, in 2004 the group organized a free show in Boston on the Esplanade, anticipating perhaps 20,000 people would turn up. The concert became the largest show in independent music event history (documented in the feature film The Last Dispatch). In 2011 the trio decided to record new music, which led to last year’s Dispatch EP and now Circles Around The Sun.
