R. Kelly took Indio, Calif. by storm on Saturday night with his surprise appearance during Phoenix’s headlining set on the second day of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. About three-quarters of the way through the band’s set, R. Kelly and Phoenix frontman Thomas Mars gave the crowd an exhilarating mashup performance of R. Kelly’s smash hits “Ignition” and “I’m a Flirt”. The performance instantly lit up all over the web and social media, with #RKelly trending globally on Twitter.
