IRISH QUARTET KODALINE TO RELEASE DEBUT SELF -TITLED EP APRIL 23RD ON CD

(New York, New York) April 15, 2013 – Irish quartet, Kodaline is set to release their debut EP simply-titled Kodaline EP on CD on April 23, 2013.  The EP is available digitally now here and includes the first single “All I Want.”  “All I Want” is impacting AAA radio this week with early support from SIRIUS-XM (SPECTRUM and ALT NATION), KCSN (Los Angeles), WJCU (Cleveland), WCLZ (Portland, ME), WFIV (Knoxville) and KPND (Spokane).

The single has enjoyed several massive television and ad campaign placements including Google’s 2012 “Year In Review online spot”, an episode of ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy, the series premiere for NBC’s new show Ready For Love and is also the featured music bed for the promo spot for ABC’s hit television show Modern Family. The compelling and powerful videos for “All I Want” and “High Hopes”, another track off the EP, have over 3.7 million views on VEVO combined.

Fresh off their performances at SXSW and their sold out gig at London’s Scala, Kodaline is set to join The Airborne Toxic Event for select dates in the US.  The band was recently nominated for MTV UK’s “Brand New: for 2013”, as well as BBC’s “Sound of 2013.”  “All I Want” was a featured track on BBC Radio 1 DJ Fearne Cotton’s Record of the Week. Their debut single in the UK, “High Hopes” was the highest new entry on the UK singles chart upon release and has taken the #1 spot in Ireland for the past 3 weeks.

Critics in the UK are raving about Kodaline.  The Daily Telegraph claims, “They have a touch of every epic multi-million-selling outfit around” and have, “sleek, widescreen rock songs to make them big stars in 2013,” while The Guardian states, “Kodaline’s thing is anthemic melancholia, expressed in guitar-and-piano bursts, and each song contains the more-is-more yearning that powers Coldplay and Muse,” the Daily Star raves, “Kodaline are a band that justify the hype.”

Hailing from Dublin, Ireland, Kodaline is Steve Garrigan (lead vocals), Mark Prendergast (guitarist), Jason Boland (bassist) and Vinny May (drummer).
