SET TO REFLECT Sign to Standby Records
Akron, Ohio’s SET TO REFLECT have signed with Standby Records. The band is set to release their debut EP April 2nd. Vocalist Tony McVaney commented on signing to Standby Records: “We’ve been writing this record over the past 3 years and to us it’s crazy that its finally done and coming to life. We knew right away we wanted to go into the studio with Landon Tewers. We’ve worked with him before and he believes in our music just as much as we do so we know it’s going to come out perfect. We really can’t be more proud of anything we’ve ever done and we hope everyone who listens to the record can love it just as much as we do.”

The post-hardcore quintet was originally formed by best friends Tony Mcvaney and Alan Bryan after the demise of their past bands. Not willing to settle for members that were less than perfect, the two recorded three demos with producer Landon Tewers and began try outs. After almost a full year of struggling with temporary members that did not quite fit, things began to fall into place with the addition of bassist Trevor Jenkins, guitarist Matthew Luthie, and lastly, percussionist William Green.
After completing the line-up, the band quickly found their footing, followed by a flurry of writing, recording, and touring. This spring will begin the next big phase in the bands life, as they begin tracking their debut full-length and national touring ensue’s.
With a fresh new attitude and a drive to make great music for their audience and delivery an intense filled live show to back it, SET TO REFLECT is happy to finally be rolling full force into the future, and to be making new fans and friends. The future could not be brighter.
