Former Electric Sister frontman Thadeus Gonzalez unleashes his second solo album with the raunchy Diamond High, a song that pointedly cuts down the ‘all that glitters is gold’ rose coloured glasses of the shallow. It’s a feisty song that growls and roars like a cross between Thin Lizzy and KISS, setting the tone for the rest of the album.
Gonzalez delivers a classy & confident take on classic hard rock, with some excellent tracks such as A Murder When I Sing, Silver Inside and another KISS-alike in A Real Class Act,
Closing track and solitary ballad Stand On Ceremony challenges narrow thinking, be it about religion, politics or anything else, and finishes the album on a high note.
Some other stuff you might dig
