SKINNY LISTER Staying Busy at SXSW 2013!!

While the band borrow their name from the “Lister” family, innovators in the field of anesthetics, their forthcoming LP, Forge and Flagon, delivers a result that is far from sedentary.

Set for release January 29th via SideOneDummy Records and captured by producer David Wrench (Bat for Lashes, James Yorkston), Forge And Flagon cements Skinny Lister’s distinctively organic sound.

“You don’t have to be a sailor to appreciate a good sea shanty,” admits singer/songwriter, Dan Heptinstall, of the London based outfit. With Skinny Lister‘s potent combination of rambunctious traditional folk and contemporary pop, all perfectly blended with just a hint of rum, you’ll be speaking Cockney in no time.

With the release of the album nearing, the five-piece are bidding the motherland farewell, as they raise their anchors and set sail to the United States alongside Flogging Molly for their annual “Green 17 Tour.”

An annual occurrence, the Green 17 Tour will see Skinny Lister perform 19 dates across the country, with the final stop falling on St. Patrick’s Day in Tempe, AZ. Seasoned veterans to the American landscape after spending the last summer on the Vans Warped Tour, Skinny Lister are excited to bring back their charming and irresistible live shows for fans.
