Tricia Freeman’s love of blues, rock, country and soul – in short, GREAT music – shines through on her latest album, but it’s her amazing voice which is the true star.

And what a voice! Powerful, versatile, beautiful and passionate, Freeman’s vocals carry these twelve (mostly original) songs through a myriad of emotions from tender ballads (the glorious Blind Man Wanderin’, which reminded me on some deep level of Deep Purple’s wonderful When A Blind Man Cries) to honky tonk rockers (Mama, He Treats Your Daughter Mean), jazzy swingers (Everyone Can See) to bluesy laments (Ashes To Ashes).

Her vocal talents will evoke thoughts of Melissa Etheridge one moment, Heart’s Ann Wilson the next, a product of hundreds of gigs touring The States and Europe with her band and supporting artists as diverse as Spencer Davis, The Little River Band, Olivia Newton John, Missing Persons, Eric Burdon & The Animals, Eddie Money, Al Green and John Fogerty.

It’s easy to see why she has been compared to Janis Joplin, Stevie Nicks, Pat Benatar, Linda Rondstadt and Etheridge & Wilson, but Freeman is a unique and individual talent all her own – grab a copy of this wonderful album and start hitting the repeat button.
