PARKERSBURG, W.V. – Jesse Smith & the Holy Ghost and Ragers will hit the road together this month for a regional East Coast tour.

Jesse Smith & the Holy Ghost is the new band from the foundingmember of seminal Christian metal-core band Zao. A departure from Smith’s musical past, he trades chaotic sounds for a classic rock sound with a modern rock vibe.

“We played a few shows this summer, but getting out on tour and staying on the road is where we want to be,” Smith said. “I’m very excited to get out and bring the songs to life. We are also really looking forward to having the opportunity to meet new friends and connect with crowds.”

Smith has spent much of the summer writing and recording new music with longtime friend/musician/producer Matt Holmes. Though the recordings are billed as a solo project, Smith has assembled a live band, consisting of other longtime friends and local musicians, to back him on the road.

“The guys in the band have never toured before so they are so ready and eager to get out and play live shows,” he said. “It’s all about that 30 minutes you have to share your art with others, and hopefully give them something they can enjoy.”

The tour will conclude with each band playing a set at the Dewey Beach Music Conference in Dewey Beach, Del.
