Melbourne psych riff lords Super American Eagle new video GONE
In the middle of their tour dates with legendary rockers Jet, Melbourne psych wizards Super American Eagle release “Gone”, the final radio single and clip from their barnstorming debut LP, out now through Cheersquad Records & Tapes.
Drawing a cult of followers with their super heavy psych rock sound and enthralling live show, Super American Eagle release a live clip with “Gone” that captures these moments of deep audience connection as the trio lay down their renowned acid rock fusion.
“Gone” is a day-trippin’ fuzz excursion into the ether, an uneasy, super queasy groove that once again ushers in Robert Harrow’s now signature higher than high etheric vocals. Swaying stoner rock that plumbs the rocky depths of relationship disintegration, and general outsider malaise, it’s another standout track from debut laden with them.
Shot by Eileen Hodgkins during Super American Eagle shows at the legendary Naarm/Melbourne venues Cherry in the CBD and Shotkickers in the North, the clip was edited by SAE’s Brent DeBoar fresh from a massive run with his other band, The Dandy Warhols.
Super American Eagle head out as guests of venerable Melbourne rockers Jet to warm stages across the country this May, no doubt converting further disciples to their high-flying psych ‘n’ roll.
