Snow Patrol brought their Wildness tour to Indy, supporting their latest album of the same name. Lead singer Gary Lightbody said the current effort was 5 years in the making. He told of his struggles with mental health and how his band mates came to his rescue during a very low point. He held back the tears commenting he couldn’t sing worth a f*ck if he started to cry. Songs on the new album reflected his struggles and were cathartic in helping get through things. His engagement with the crowd made the concert a much more intimate experience. Everyone was standing the entire show. They sang along in unison to most every song. Their setlist was a great mix of old and new.  They winded down the night with their classic hit “Chasing Cars” and ended with “Heal Me” from Wildness. Though it was a Wednesday night, it seemed like a weekend. Snow Patrol brought the energy and emotion for a memorable evening.

Setlist: Chocolate – Take Back the City – Called Out in the Dark – Crack the Shutters – Don’t Give In – Empress – Run – Set the Fire to the Third Bar – Life on Earth – Open Your Eyes – Make This Go On Forever – Shut Your Eyes – Chasing Cars – Heal Me – What If This Is All the Love You Ever Get? – Just Say Yes
