The Ryman Auditorium was the stage for a powerful evening from beginning to end. The openers, Lo Moon, set the pace and tone for the evening’s event. Once Chvrches got onto the stage there was a full house, and they immediately broke into the first single on their latest release; “Get Out” on the album ‘Love is dead’. Through the course of their performance they played popular songs off all of their other albums, mixed with new material. From “Miracle” to “Science/Vision”, they left no stone unturned for a highly energetic and amazing evening. Upon coming back for their encore, they broke from their setlist routine. After performing “The Mother We Share”, they went on to debut a new cover of Blue Nile’s “The Downtown Lights” for the first time live on stage (with the help of the band Lo Moon). The candid humor in between songs, combined with stellar lighting and sound, made this evening…simply brilliant.
Setlist: Get Out – Bury It – Gun – We Sink – Graffiti – Graves – God’s Plan – Under the Tide – Miracle – Science/Visions – Really Gone – Deliverance – Forever – Recover – Leave a Trace – Clearest Blue – The Mother We Share – The Downtown Lights – Never Say Die
