BE BY THE C WITH BERNARD FANNING, MISSY HIGGINS AND MORE

By The C – the ultimate concert event that exemplifies the great Australian outdoors – will be staged at one of Perth’s favourite and most picturesque seaside locations, Cottesloe Beach. It will deliver the best of Australian music with two of our finest artists – Bernard Fanning and Missy Higgins as well Kim Churchill, Saskwatch & Oh Pep!

Over the last two decades Bernard Fanning has become one of our most adored and celebrated singer/songwriters. Having fronted Powderfinger, one of Australia’s most iconic rock bands, we’ve all been touched by his music in some way – either by his poignant lyrics, smart songcraft or distinctive voice. In 2005, Bernard began pursuing his solo career, when he released his debut album, Tea and Sympathy. Since then, his career has taken him to places most musicians can only dream of. He’s experienced countless sell-out tours, a swag of ARIA’s and accolades to his name, then this year’s acclaimed album release, Brutal Dawn, saw the second installment in a two-album series which followed last year’s ARIA award winning Civil Dusk. Bernard Fanning is undoubtedly one of our foremost artists that delivers stand out live shows to packed audiences.

Over the last decade Missy Higgins has become one of our most beloved singer/songwriters. Her first three albums, The Sound of White, On a Clear Night and The Ol’ Razzle Dazzle, have sold more than a million copies. They’ve each gone to No. 1 on the Australian charts and each has also been recognised with ARIA Awards. Most recently, Missy released ‘Torchlight’ – a powerful, emotive piano ballad written for Australian film ‘Don’t Tell’ starring Rachel Griffiths and Jack Thompson.

One of Australia’s most celebrated voices, Kim Churchill, has accomplished impressive feats in his time. He is known for his dynamic live performances which focus on his deft guitar work whilst simultaneously playing bass, percussion, tamborine, harmonica and vocals. Kim is also recognised as much internationally as he is at home, having performed headline shows, festivals and supports alike all over the planet – the likes of Falls Festival, Splendour In The Grass, Montreal Jazz, Telluride Blues & Glastonbury. His most recent album, Weight Falls, was released in August 2017 and he toured Australia and internationally – including sell out shows in London, Amsterdam, Canada and supporting Milky Chance in Germany. Known for his fierce vocals and magnetic stage presence, Kim Churchill is a force to be reckoned with.

Saskwatch have come off the back of a successful national tour that saw them bring their famous live show to fans Australia-wide. The recent release of their forth album, Manual Overide, unveiled a sonic kaleidoscope where ever-changing soundscapes and colourful patterns neatly evoked elements of neo-psychedelic, indie-pop and soul. It proved to be a tour-de-force that consolidated Saskwatch as a band producing a powerful, timeless album. Saskwatch have rubber stamped their status as one of Australia’s premier live acts.

Melbournian folk pop duo Oh Pep! are a collaboration between songwriters Olivia Hally & Pepita Emmerichs. They were drawn together back in high-school by virtuosic musicianship and a shared love of songwriting without boundaries. Oh Pep! have been bringing their recordings to the stage for years, first trekking around Australia in the early years and then touring internationally since early 2015. The pair headlined their largest Australian tour here earlier this year and their 2016 debut album, Stadium Cake, has been the subject of praise around the world.

This is a superb line up of Australian artists – be sure get in quick for this show
