Wymer Publishing’s collection of Alan Perry’s photographs of AC/DC – taken in England between 1978 and 1982 – comes in a deluxe, individually numbered flight case, along with ten postcards and five glossy A4 prints of singers Bon Scott and Brian Johnson, and the Young brothers Angus and Malcolm, plus one group shot.

Limited to only 500, the pack is a deluxe collector’s item only available through the publisher’s website – www.wymeruk.co.uk .

The hardbound book itself collects Perry’s photos from the most transitional time in the band’s career – having relocated to England they were broke and set about carving a niche for themselves the only way they knew how: by playing incendiary live shows.

Perry captured AC/DC in Coventry in November 1978, at Wembley Stadium in August 1979, Monsters of Rock Donington in August 1981 – now with Johnson out front of the band – Wembley Arena, October 1982.

Each concert is bigger than the last, and Perry’s photos show that while the band evolved in that time from raucous pub rockers to fully-fledged arena juggernauts, the individual members barely seem to have changed at all – apart from the change of singer, of course.

Hardcore fans will lap up AC/DC IN FULL FLIGHT, and with numbers so limited, they had better get on it fast.
