Torpedohead open III with Get Off My Back, a one-two-fuck-you blast of nuclear drummage and flamethrower guitars, as if their sleazy, punkish rawk n’ roll was soundtracking a Mad Max-like post-apocalyptic wasteland. Which it will, at some point in the future, no doubt about it.

Melodic bombardments like Wildfire, Enough Is Enough and Angel City are take-no-prisoners anthems, captured with live energy and set-the-house-alight fire by producer Siggy Bemm.

Peace Of Mind slows the pace with a suitably contemplative tribal drumbeat and a lyric that shows these guys aren’t just young, dumb & full of cum.

Then there’s Shanghide and Drunk On Sunday – delicious confections that combine the irresistible simplicity of The Ramones with the sleazy in-your-face belligerence of Backyard Babies, before Sweet Mystery’s tender moments and the catchy perversions of Cesspool Dreams.
