Due to popular demand The Newport Hotel Record Club is back for another rewind series. Steve Parkin and Malcom Clark, the local luminaries behind the shows bring your favourite Western Australian musicians to pay homage to the artists that inspired them and the albums that are in endless circulation.

Beginning in October, some of the past favourites from seasons one, two and three will grace our stage once more. This series will host some of WA’s leading musicians including members of The Sleepy Jackson, Karnivool, End Of Fashion, Eskimo Joe, The Chemists, Weapon Is Sound and more.

Kicking off on Thursday October 15, Boom Bap Pow return with their reworking of the Divinyls’ album Desperate. In the weeks to follow Jimi Hendrix’s Are Your Experienced, Fleetwood Mac’s Rumours, Radiohead’s OK Computer and more will be thoughtfully reworked buy a host of familiar faces.

Tickets are available online through for $12 + BF, $15 at The Newport Hotel Bottle shop and $15 on the door.

Thursday October 15 – Divinyls / Desperate, Performed by Boom Bap Pow
Thursday October 22 – Jimi Hendrix / Are You Experienced, Performed by The Jimi Spandex Extensions consisting of members from The Sleepy Jackson, Weapon Is Sound and Tracksuit.
Thursday October 29 – Fleetwood Mac / Rumours, Performed by Fleetwood Rack consisting of Elliot Smith (The Chemist), Timothy Nelson and Lucy Peach
Thursday November 5 – Radiohead / OK Computer, Performed by The Creeps consisting of members from Karnivool, Eskimo Joe, The Avenues, Red Jezebel and End Of Fashion.
Thursday November 12 – Pearl Jam / Ten, Performed by Brown Study Band
Thursday November 19 – Neil Young / Comes A Time, Performed by David Hyams
