Hinder continued their spring tour in support of their forthcoming album When the Smoke Clears with an all ages show at the International. Marshal Dutton was at the helm, officially tabbed their new lead singer in January. He’s no stranger the band, however. He has been writing and producing with them since 2009. He stepped right in and certainly had command of the evening. The crowd was his. He decorated each mic with bras cast on stage by his coaxing. Dutton grabbed cell phones from the front row and proceeded to take selfies with bandmates before returning them to delighted fans. He roamed the stage and leaned over the pit to get close with the audience. He was all energy and the perfect front man. Though the lyrics remained the same, Dutton’s vocals clearly gives Hinder a new sound as they move forward. Songs seemed a bit edgier and harder rock than before. Cody Hanson (drums), Joe Garvey (lead guitar), Mark King (rhythm guitar) and Mike Rodden (bass) complete the group. Despite the time constraints of the 11 o’clock curfew, Hinder was able to able to perform a diverse set with songs old and new, as well as the cover “Wicked Garden.” After only a minute or two break, they came back for two encore songs, ending with “Get Stoned.” Hinder has entered a new era, and we look forward to their long awaited new album set to release May 12.

I was at this show and it was awesome!! I was a bit skeptical when I heard they had a new lead singer, but he blew the songs away and did a great job working the crowd. Definitely a must see show!!!
This was an awesome show I just love these guys, they really get with the crowd.
