“Best decision I made all year? Quite possibly…. My god, man. Go see this band…. Well played, Mr. Hook. Well played.” – The Pale Drummer

“An encore of “State Of The Nation”, “Confusion”, “True Faith” and a breath taking version of “Temptation” brings the night to a massive ovation” – Louder Than War

PETER HOOK & THE LIGHT are to perform NEW ORDER’S third and fourth albums, Low Life and Brotherhood for the first time ever in Australia and New Zealand in February 2015.

The concerts will include the Singles and B-Sides from NEW ORDER’s most prolific period – August 1983 to 1987, taking the audience from “Confusion” to “True Faith”, with both Low Life (“Perfect Kiss”, “Sub-Culture”) and Brotherhood (“Bizarre Love Triangle”, “State of the Nation”) performed in full alongside all the other tracks from that fans consider NEW ORDER’S greatest period including “Temptation”, “Thieves Like Us”, “Shell Shock” Plus More!

HOOKY AND THE LIGHT will also be supporting themselves at the concerts performing a selection of seminal JOY DIVISION classics.

Peter Hook isn’t just a founding member of iconic bands JOY DIVISION and NEW ORDER, he’s a gentleman and a legend, whose signature bass lines were a key component of both group’s success. His trademark low-end sound were the backbone to seminal JOY DIVISION albums Unknown Pleasures (1979) and Closer (1980) as well as a number of NEW ORDER albums including Power, Corruption & Lies (1983) and Technique (1989).

Since parting ways with NEW ORDER in 2007, Hooky has been busy touring with his band THE LIGHT with sell-out shows around the world. THE LIGHT have taken out extensive tours of Europe, Australia & New Zealand and the United States to rave reviews.

Last in Australia in 2009, Hooky performed Joy Division’s classic Unknown Pleasures. He returns in 2015 with a very special evening comprised of New Order’s Low Life & Brotherhood albums performed in their entirety with a special opening set comprised of JOY DIVISION material. The Low Life album is widely regarded by critcs and fans to be one of NEW ORDER’S finest, signalling the bands crossover from post-punk to dance rock with singles such as ‘Temptation’ and ‘Blue Monday.’

The Brotherhood album is almost a symphony of NEW ORDER sound, embracing pop and rock electronica and spawning the anthemic dancefloor anthem, ‘Bizarre Love Triangle’, which broke the band worldwide.

Bolstering THE LIGHT’S live show is former members of Peter Hook’s MONACO project: Paul Kehoe (drums) and Andy Poole (keyboards) as well as Hook’s son Jack Bates (bass). Reviewers universally agree that the catalogue of songs Hook has brought back to life through THE LIGHT have bolstered his legacy and god-like status amongst fans.

Peter Hook is an icon of new wave and has set the precedent for a legion of bass players to attempt to replicate. Don’t miss your chance to witness PETER HOOK & THE LIGHT live in Australia and New Zealand in 2015.

From time-capsules to timeless classics, incendiary versions of “True Faith” and the impossibly beautiful “Temptation” (both whirled out in their extended 12″ forms) bring the evening to a glowing finale.” – 45 Mag

“Not only did Hooky and his band open the show with Joy Division songs, he proceeded to play New Order’s two full albums and a stellar encore. The real treat of the night was hearing New Order songs that have probably never been played live or fans have never ever heard live” – LA Record

“The show was an unquestionable treat for fans….Hooky is an outstanding bass player and it’s truly magical to see him live in action…..Don’t miss this tour if it’s coming to your city. Peter Hook is a legend.” – Hang The DJ / x89 Radio
