RECOVERY COUNCIL CD Release Show Rescheduled Due to Weather
Old Man Winter is a mean-spirited, icy bastard when it comes to thwarting New Jersey heavy rock trio RECOVERY COUNCIL’s plans for an out-of-this-world CD release show of their album Plan-Do-Check-Act (Dot Ultra Records) this Friday at RVCC Planetarium in Branchburg, NJ. Under the threat of snow on Friday, the band has decided to reschedule the event for Friday, February 8 to regroup under safer conditions, and perhaps more subtly, to give a figurative middle finger to Old Man Winter himself.
“When we saw the forecast for the day of the show, it was frustrating news,” says guitarist/vocalist Rebeca Qualls. “This event is really special to us, and it means so much having the support of those attending. But we also want everyone to be safe, and we aren’t going to let the adversity of weather stop us from the celebration. We will just persevere with our backup plan to move the show to February 8 and hope that with a little extra notice we can give more people an opportunity to see us.”
Ironically, much of the subject matter on Plan-Do-Check-Act deals with facing adversity and moving forward, so who better than RECOVERY COUNCIL to devise a contingency plan and execute? Be sure to catch them February 8 as they regroup to celebrate the release of Plan-Do-Check-Act with a one-of-a-kind laser light show and live performance at the Raritan Valley Community College Planetarium in Branchburg, NJ.
RECOVERY COUNCIL is Qualls on guitar and vocals, along with New Jersey native Jeff Trenholm on drums and Dominican Republic-born Isidro Santos on bass. Since becoming a band in 2011, their collective influences across the spectrum of post-punk, metal, progressive, and grunge genres have lent themselves to their rhythm-driven, melodic style.Plan-Do-Check-Act captures a moment in time where the three musicians’ unique styles and backgrounds perfectly intersect as a cohesive whole.
