FIFTH AND FINAL DANDY WARHOLS SHOW ANNOUNCED AT THE CORNER HOTEL

Metropolis Touring and Select Touring are completely blown away to announce a 5th and DEFINATELY FINAL show for The Dandy Warhols on Wednesday 3rd September at the Corner Hotel in Melbourne, with this 2014 tour coinciding with the band’s 20th Anniversary. This is the first time an international band has done five shows at this iconic venue. The band was last here in 2012 and clearly, Australia hasn’t had enough of them!

The band is just as excited to come to Australia with Courtney Taylor-Taylor saying: ‘We have a very special relationship with Oz. Incidentally, if I could choose a country to have that kind of dense history with I’d probably choose Australia anyway. Outside of Portland, its “the most Dandy Warhols” place and vibe in the world.’

The Dandys (as they are affectionately known) are more than just one of America’s defining cult rock bands, or an outfit with an enviable catalogue of cool music – they are a lifestyle!

Regarded as one of the best and most unpredictable live bands in the world, The Dandy Warhols have earned a reputation for delivering performances that have always been described as brilliant. They have plenty of psych-rock wig outs and hook-laden pop gems alike to gild their set. For a band that has been doing this for as long as they have it’s refreshing to see them still clearly loving what they do.

With an impressive back catalogue their set lists are sure to be jam packed with some of their crowd favourites that include ‘We Used To Be Friends’, ‘Horse Pills’, ‘Get Off’, ‘Godless’, ‘Everyday Should Be A Holiday’, ‘Boys Better’ and of course the evergreen crowd pleaser ‘Bohemian Like You’.
