“ASTOR ROCKS” – 2 STAGES – 12 LIVE ACTS

After 20 years away from our Australian shores the Meat Puppets are finally heading back and will make the trip over the Nullarbor to headline the Inaugural ASTOR ROCKS, 2 stages of real and pure rock’n’roll inside Perth’s iconic entertainment venue The Astor Theatre.

ASTOR ROCKS will be a night that is sure to rock the foundations of Mount Lawley’s entertainment strip to the core.

Originally from Phoenix Arizona, the Meat Puppets massively influenced Nirvana, Pavement, Soundgarden and Dinosaur Jr.

Starting off as a punk rock band they evolved a style of their own that blended punk with country and psychedelic rock.

Joining the on this evening of rock bliss will be Brant Bjork (Kyuss), yes the man behind the kit for stoner rock band Kyuss and Fu-Manchu will be bringing out his band and will be taking back the rock and letting it roll and will be proving why he is the Grand Master of Rock.

Also on the line-up is one of the most unlikely rock’n’roll bands to reach hero status in Australia, the Hard-Ons.

Rounding out the line-up on the night and kick-starting the evening from 5pm will be the local rock favourites – The Love Junkies, Axe Girl, The Shakeys, FAIM, Sun Gods, Doctopus, PainKillers, Coalminers Sect and Heard of Cows.
