A compilation of jazz-funk instrumentals that had mostly appeared on previous Beastie Boys releases Ill Communication, Check Your Head or B-sides, there’s a real Sixties movie soundtrack feel to this, their least hip hop release of all.

It’s trippy stuff, very upbeat, and great to hear that they were capable of so much more than ‘rhymin’ n’ stealin’’ over a mixmaster’s tracks.
