EMPIRE OF THE SUN – Ice On The Dune

Dance and electronica sure ain’t my thing, but if you have to go down that road, you could do far worse than giving Empire Of The Sun’s newie a spin.
This adventurous – futuristic, even – twosome is Luke Steel and Nick Littlemore, together again after a massive falling out after completing their debut album a few years ago.
Steele was the free spirit behind Perth indie rock outfit The Sleepy Jackson, and he brings a forward-thinking rock mindset to this danceable alt-pop disc, as evidenced on the album’s first single Alive.
Not my thing at all, but it’s about as listenable a dance record as a died-in-the-wool rocker is ever gonna find!
