Some guilty pleasures never go away. Having grown up in the 80’s when most pop was designed for dancing and hitting the clubs, I have a small spot in my musical heart for great dance music. “Broken Promise Land” opens this EP with great hooks and killer dance beat. The music is a little dark, but not over the top for the electronic scene. The sound is enjoyable and goes well in the business office as well as the party on Friday night. “Games” is next and picks up the energy level a bit. The track is fun and keeps everything moving nicely. The track features a strong back beat that keeps the song moving. “Pioneers” slows the pace down a bit without bringing the energy level down. This song is a bit different form the rest, but still a great song to use for background music when friends are over and want to have a great groove in the background. “Invincible” is a bit moody in spots, but overall this is a great track. The song features great vocals and a chorus that has a great dance beat. This will keep them guessing on the dance floor. “Set Out With Me” closes the set out with style. The beat is killer and is very reminiscent of my youth. The song really keeps the disc flowing from beginning to end and makes this a keeper. I can’t wait to see what Claire does with a full length disc.
