The Word Alive kicks off tour with Parkway Drive and shoots new music video
The Word Alive are excited to kick off their North American tour alongside Parkway Drive today in San Diego, CA (full tour routing below).
The tour comes on the heels of the band’s music video shoot for single “Life Cycles” in Los Angeles, CA yesterday, with director Frankie Nasso (Asking Alexandria, Emmure, All That Remains, Chevelle) – Look out for the music video to be released soon.
The “Atlas North American Tour” additionally features Veil of Maya, and While She Sleeps and wraps up in Detroit, MI on April 19th, with several shows already sold out.
“While we were on tour with our friends in Parkway Drive last winter it was obvious that our North American friends felt left out,” explains lead vocalist Tyler “Telle” Smith. “We couldn’t be happier to be joining forces once again with one of the best metalcore bands over the last decade and playing for fans new and old. If you don’t have your tickets, get them quick and we’ll see you there. The more crowd surfing the better!”
After the North American tour wraps up in April, the band will then head to Europe with Sleeping With Sirens on the already sold out UK Tour in advance to their slot on the Slam Dunk Festival.
Guitarists Zack Hansen and Tony Pizzuti were recently featured by Revolver and GuitarWorld for their guitar tutorial videos.
THE WORD ALIVE – Tyler “Telle” Smith (vocals), Zack Hansen (guitar), Tony Pizzuti (guitar), Daniel Shapiro (bass), Luke Holland (drums) – shook the metal scene with acclaimed album Life Cycles, which debuted at #50 on the Billboard Top 200.
