Rita Wilson Set to Perform Seven NYC Shows From Her Debut Album at 54 Below This April
Rita Wilson reveals her expressive, denim-and-suede vocals in a nostalgic throwback to the soft rock of Los Angeles in seven performances at 54 Below this April. Wilson will perform songs from her critically acclaimed debut Decca Records solo album AM/FM, featuring iconic hits from the 60s and 70s ranging from classic love songs to folk-rock tunes. The LA born actress, producer and writer made her Broadway debut as Roxy Hart in Chicago.
AM/FM is an intimate, elegant and beautifully sung collection of classics from the ’60s and ’70s that together, make up the soundtrack to her life. “The song sequence on the album tells a story of a very innocent, idealized version of love in the ‘AM’ section, before it shifts to the ‘FM’ section and becomes more about the disillusionment that happens after you’ve had some heartbreaks,” Wilson says.
Tickets go on sale March 4 and can be purchased on 54 Below’s website: http://54below.com
