For Today Announce New EP/DVD Prevailer Release Date April 2nd

(New York, NY) – For Today have announced an April 2nd release date for their forthcoming EP/DVD, Prevailer.   The EP will feature 5 songs (four new songs and one acoustic track) and the DVD will feature a 90 plus minute film about the band from their humble beginnings to sharing the stage worldwide.  Live footage was filmed from the band’s full summer spent on the 2012 Van’s Warped Tour as well as from their 2012 Fight the Silence headline tour.  The DVD will also feature select official music videos.

The band recently premiered the first song from the EP “Crown of Thorns” –listen HERE.

Fans can pre-order Prevailer now in a variety of bundles at Fortoday.merchnow.com.   The EP / DVD will be available in limited quantity orange and light blue vinyl.  The various bundles feature hoodies, posters, T shirts and vinyl.

This past week For Today kicked off their headline Fight The Silence Tour with support from the bands Memphis May Fire, The Word Alive, Upon A Burning Body and Gideon.  For Today will jump on the road with As I Lay Dying and The Devil Wears Prada in February through April  (tour dates below).

For Today’s 2012 album Immortal debuted on the Billboard Top 200 Album Chart at #15with over 14,700 albums sold in its first week out and has sold close to 35,000 to date. The band has sold over 115,000 albums to date.  Immortal was released to major critical acclaim with Revolver Magazine declaring it to be “Rife with crafty guitar hooks and scream-along choruses.” Alternative Press also commented, “For Today have dialed back the bombast just enough to make their pounding combination of furious punk and vicious metal sound more immediate and live sounding.”
