| 26 January 2013 | Reply

New York, NY (January 22, 2013) – The Jeep® brand and Rolling Stone announced today it will partner to host the “Jeep Heroes Tailgate,” a multi-dimensional effort built around the Jeep brand’s “Heritage of Heroes” campaign that honors those who carry us to victory.  The “Jeep Heroes Tailgate” will feature four hours of non-stop entertainment, including a performance by GRAMMY-winners The Roots of Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. Tickets are available for the public; for additional information, visit rollingstonetailgate.eventbrite.com.

The festivities will run from noon – 4 pm on Sunday, Feb. 3 featuring celebrated New Orleans specialties, ?uestlove spinning on the ones and twos, special celebrity guests and tailgate-inspired activities for all. As its special guests, the Jeep brand has invited service members to enjoy a weekend of activities in New Orleans, including attending the tailgate and the big game. The Jeep Heroes Tailgate will take place at Generations Hall, 310 Andrew Higgins Drive, within walking distance to the Superdome – making it the place to be leading up to the Big Game.

The Roots is the brainchild of childhood friends Ahmir “?uestlove” Thompson and Tariq “Black Thought” Trotter. The hip-hop crew began its career playing bucket drums and free-styling on the streets.  Named one of the greatest live acts by Rolling Stone, the group’s career has evolved to include the featured “house band” presence for Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, hosting sold-out jam sessions across the country, collaborating on new works for contemporary performances, and consistently churning out GRAMMY-nominated albums.  The Roots’ most recent release, undun, is the group’s first conceptually based album and 13th major-label release.

Tickets are available for the general public.
