Lead singer Michael Brown was flown in from Adelaide, Australia to accept the award on behalf of the band. He comments: “I’m absolutely stoked about winning the Classic Rock Award for Best New Band! It still blows my mind that we are creating and playing music we love and people are responding to it and we’re getting awards for it!!”
The band will start recording their second album with producer Kevin Shirley (Led Zeppelin, Iron Maiden, Slayer, Silverchair, Cold Chisel), at his studio in Malibu, California later this month. The album will be released by Mascot Records in March 2013. Immediately following release, the band will tour the U.K., launching the excursion at Scala in London the 9th of April.
