This intimate 250 person space was sold out and everyone was ready for the sonic brilliance that Swans deliver. Being one of the loudest shows one can ever see live; this small space helped make it the loudest show ever. The night began with a solo set from the guitarist Kristof Hahn; one of the members of the band. He played several songs to get the crowd ready for the main performance to come. At the end of his set he joked and asked if everyone had earplugs because “you’re going to need them”. The overall show was a little over 2 hours for Swans. Filled with massive sound and mood they delivered an amazing set to an ecstatic crowd. They played a small but long set of 7 songs composed of mostly brand new material. The pure impact of the presentation on the stage and lighting were exceptionally on point with the mood and vibe of the evening. Playing to the crowd and thoroughly enjoying what they do on stage this show was stellar. The size of the venue was a unique and interesting place due to it also being a photo studio. It helped give the overall night a very intimate and personal experience. I could have enjoyed another full set but the overall show was already packed to the brim with all the mood. Overall this was an extremely enjoyable event. There was not a sad face in the crowd except that the show was over. A highly recommended to catch live for anyone of experimental and noise rock.
