This disc came out of nowhere, but I have had it on my computer for two months now and have listened to it over and over.  At first, I was trying to determine if I liked it.  Then it was an issue of how much I liked it.  Now, I find myself listening to it as a standby when other discs just don’t enthuse me.

The disc opens a track that sets the stage – “Fall, Goliath, Fall.”  This group of guys is very good at what they do.  They use vocals, lyrics, and music to keep the listener engaged.  The track moves from post-hardcore style to rocker to weird instrumental.  It even has a cool breakdown reminiscent of Muse.  The next couple tracks follow the same post hardcore path.

“Off The Grid” kicks in and has more of a rock vibe to it with some cool lead guitar riffs to boot.  This is one of my favorites on the disc.  “Blood Moon” also winds up in that category.  This moody rocker really soothes the ears and soul mid-disc.  The lyrics are ethereal as are the musical couplings.  This has some cool tempo and sonic changes in it making it fun to listen to as well.  “Defector” is another slower tempo rocker that makes the hit list.

If you are looking for something different and maybe out of the normal rockers comfort zone, give this one a spin.  I think it has enough on it to attract a new fan or two.
