Nokia Music To Hold Launch Event In Nashville, TN, Friday, October 19, 2012 At The Country Music Hall Of Fame
October 10, 2012 – Nokia Music today announced they will host an exclusive event in Nashville, TN on Friday, October 19, 2012 in the exclusive Rotunda event space at the Country Music Hall of Fame.
The event, hosted by Ray Waddell, Billboard’s Executive Director of Content & Programming for Touring/Live Entertainment, will feature a special live acoustic set by one of country music’s top bands, Eli Young Band and benefit Musicians On Call, who bring live and recorded music to the bedsides of patients in healthcare facilities. Part of the day will include a visit by some of the Eli Young Band to VA Tennessee Valley Healthcare System’s Nashville campus to visit with Veteran patients and their families and play a couple songs.
“Tennessee has always been home to country music’s finest, and we are delighted to have the Eli Young Band on board for the launch of Nokia Music in Nashville, in addition to supporting Musicians On Call,” said Jyrki Rosenberg, VP of Entertainment at Nokia. “We want to offer all our customers in Nashville a unique, mobile entertainment experience with our new free music service and are thrilled to be partnering with Billboard for this event.”
