September 18, 2012 – Los Angeles, CA – Emerging Bay Area metal band Early Graves has debuted a new song, “Pure Hell,” from their upcoming album, Red Horse, on  Red Horse will be released on October 30, but is available for pre-order now at

Listen to “Pure Hell” now, exclusively at

“This is a song dedicated to Makh,” singer John Strachan tells NPR.  “He always had that pure hell back patch.  So I wrote this for him and the way he lived.”

Early Graves suffered the tragic loss of their founding singer Makh Daniels who died in an automobile accident while the band was on tour in 2010.  Two years later they return, carrying the torch for their fallen brother with long-time friend of the band John Strachan, of the Funeral Pyre, stepping in permanently for Makh on vocals.

Fueled by relentless perseverance to honor Makh’s memory and prove to fans  they still can melt faces, Early Graves composed an eight song warhorse of an album that clocks in at just over thirty-two brutal minutes.  Along with “Pure Hell,” Red Horse also features the recently released title track which can be heard at and is described by as “the kind of song that makes me wanna burst through a wall, Kool Aid Man-style.”

Early Graves is currently on a U.S. tour, supporting the upcoming release of Red Horse with Skeletonwitch.
